You haven't tried everything for Janie until you've tried Edgar Cayce's approach. Guest guest
Bill, Janie and I have both been tested for mercury and other heavy metals and were found to be toxic with mercury from dental amalgam. We have both had chelation with DMSA and EDTA, but probably need more. We have also used other detox agents such as chlorella and Vit. C. We will start another round of DMSA soon. If DMSA is used correctly there are no side effects from it, as there can be with DMPS, and is much more effective against mercury than EDTA. I have several books that were written about how to detox from mercury poisoning, and they all state that DMSA is now the preferred chelator, with no mention of NDF in any of them. I found the same information in the PDR (Physicians Desk Refererence) book, which is what doctors use for prescribing drugs. Some good books on this subject are " Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis and Treatment " by Cutler, " Dental Mercury Detox " and " The Hazards of Silver/Mercury Dental Fillings " by Sam Ziff, " Proper Amalgam Removal " and " Detoxification " by Hal Huggins. Cutler's book is far and away the best. You are right, it takes a lot of work to get it out of your system once it is there, it hides out mainly in the kidneys and brain and fat cells. I see on the internet that NDF is very expensive. Where did you get your information that NDF is better than DMSA? Was it from an independent research group, or from the people who are selling it? What is the active ingredient in it that does the work? Thanks, Duncan > Duncan, > as i have said in the past, my preferred chelator is NDF. it is much better than DMSA, DMPS, or EDTA. > Bill > >

Guest guest
Duncan, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. You are wondering about root causes. In my case, I believe it is a leaky gut that causes my problems and the real culprit is/was stress that caused the leaky gut to even happen (and perhaps antibiotics, I don't know) Anyway, just to confirm that I have leaky gut I sent off a sample for testing and am waiting for the results. There is a women in England, Susie Cornell, who thinks there is a link between the two as well (on page 32). Here is a link to a publication that may interest people that you can view for free. http://www2.kemc.co.uk/clients/msrc/downloads/Issue19.pdf ne RE: Help Wanted ne, Thanks for the suggestions. It will give us some things to try. When Janie's burning pain in her feet gets bad she uses ice packs and this helps her a lot, but its temporary relief. What I am really wanting to find out is what is causing it and how to put a permanent stop to it, more than how to treat the symptoms, although this is needed, too. I am always trying to find out how to get to the root cause and cure that, rather than treating symptoms. We went to the Neurologists for about 10 years before we realized that was all they know how to do. The doctors do not cure the cause, just treat the symptoms. That is OK, but not enough. Thanks again for your help. Duncan
Guest guest
Theresa, I was not successful in using the Flutter Valve; however, I called the company who makes it on 3/19/02 and the person I spoke to said that I could use 1 part distilled white vinegar and 3 parts tap or distilled water (I would probably use distilled water)--leave in solution 15 minutes. The telephone number that I called in the U.S. is: . This is on the back of the patient instruction manual. The web site is www.scandipharm.com When I had sinus surgery in 2001. The ear, nose and throat surgeon indicated in the copy of my culture report that the culture taken during surgery showed the following results: Aerobic Results: pseudomonas aeruginosa--Anaerobic Results: none That is all of the information that I can give you at this time. I hope someone else can also contribute information. Norma
