Hey everyone:I just SOOOOOO love Abby's pediatrician. After hearing SO many ignorant pediatrician stories from other members I love him even more. Had to take Abster in this morning, she has an ear inf & a sinus infection.

While in the room, I told the Dr about my Baby Years Magazine plagio interview & said I'd mail him a copy. He was thrilled to hear about it. He asked about the group and I told him how huge we are now. I told him how fortunate I was to have him be so alert to Abby's plagio & so pro band. He told me he for the life of him, cannot understand why SO many peds are so anti-banding for plagio, it really bugs him! He pointed Abby's plagio out to me at just her 2 week chk up.

He said he always checks for plagio & tort in his new patients and at each follow up til they are over age 1. He said he gets so frustrated for parents having to wait for ins. approvals before babies can be casted & how long babies wait before being seen by the ped. neuros he refers plagio babies to - but that was out of his hands, cuz he doesn't like writing the RX for a helmet himself just to be safe. He said there's such a small window of opportunity for babies to get maximum correction, etc.etc......

He had mix feelings on repositioning successes. He said he'd rather send parents for a helmet vs repositioning, even past just 4 mos of age.

I was again just so happy to hear how plagio knowledgable he is. Had to share!!
