Unless you are training specifically for PL it is always better to train

full squat. The importance of exercising full ROMs all joints is a

Hi ,

I would be interested in why you assert that " exercising full ROMs (of) all

joints is a

must " ?

While there certainly is value in training various ROM's, what do you mean

by " a must " ?

And please don't construe this question as overly contentious, but that is a

broad assertion, and might need qualification, especially since you go on in

your answer to then suggest " not " exercising the FROM of all the lumbar

joints. (which I agree with)

Once again I am having difficulty responding to the good posts regarding the

squat. Are the full squats for overall strengthening? for transfer to a

particular sport or group of sports? for preparation for explosive

training? For beginners? for elite athletes? For powerlifters? to be

done in the GPP? SPP?

Only with these answers shoud we address the depth and/or other aspects of

execution.
