We need to be careful when we say "published study"

I think Dr Kaiser's product is good. I also think it is a little expensive and you can get all ingredients cheaper if you order them separately from buyers clubs. But there are people like me who are lazy and have little time to keep inventory of supplements, and for us this product is great and worth the extra money. It is also included in CA, NY,and other ADAPs and Medicaids, so it may be paid for people who live in those areas.

However, I will not be 100% sure of the claims of CD4 increases until I see the study published in a respected peer review journal. I think Dr Kaiser is working on that now.

Just because something is presented as a poster or oral presentation in a conference it does not mean that the data are clean and unbiased.

There actually is a published study, funded by BMS, showing that K-Pax vitamins did result in an increase in CD4s. No impact on VL.BobAt 08:27 PM 2/13/2006, Barrow wrote:

I know of no studies that would suggest that K pax raise CD4 counts.I know of no reason why this particular preparation of cheaply available compounds would be better than any other. On Feb 9, 2006, at 12:26 PM, PozHealth wrote:

My pharmacy, which has been leader since start hiv epidemic in NYC, says customer feedback is that K-Pax makes mild but detectable improvement, presumably because raises CD4's--I noticed this myself, small but appreciable. expensive, but also simple--just take the one or two packs a day and you're pretty much covered, might want to add more calcium & other specialty supplements of your choice--Hugo Barrowpozbod@...
