Guest guest
Regarding liposuction of face/chin area, does insurance cover any portion? I went for a consultation and the doctor said insurance will not cover it. They didn't even try to challenge the ins co, who said it was "cosmetic" and would not cover any portion. We all know this is medically induced, so does anyone have any suggestions on how to challenge the insurance company?
Guest guest
There is some thing I have been wondering for a while about face lifts. Do you have any visible scar from the face lift? mark --- slguy39 wrote: > I had the same issue... my entire face appeared to > swell up... my HIV doc sent me for radiation > treatments to shrink the sides of my face (parotids) > but still had a 17.5 inch neck compared to my normal > 15.5. and I still had a huge double chin... and my > goatee would only hide so much... doc said the > radiation would have no effect on the chin so I saw > the plastic surgeon.... > > I had what my plastic surgeon called a full > face-lift (although he didn't touch my eyes) and I > am THRILLED with the results!! Guest guest
"I'll ask again and hope someone can answer this question. Does insurance cover any part of facial liposuction and reconstruction? Is there any medical/psychological reason that I can challenge them?"They sure don't want to cover it, I'm sure they live in terror that it would lead to an obligation to cover face-lifts for all kinds of conditions, no matter how well-founded our claims might be.I wish you luck.
