No,its not to start a controversial topic by any means.

Actually,it's about an incident related to Khadi and BadiBehenji.

It was Sunday morning, I had just joined as HO,and Prof Arora was taking his

rounds and we all too wanted to finish the paper work soon and go out, when we

recieved a call from Badi Behenji. She had severe red eye and wanted Prof to

come and check her up.Immediately,I was asked to accompany the Prof.

I asked him to excuse me,since I was not wearing Khadi, that day and thought may

run into trouble, but Prof assured me,that since,Behenji had red eye and

photophobia, she would not be in a position to know about my dress.

So,I went along. She really had a bad bout of conjunctivitis.Prof did the ocular

examination, while I stood away from Behenji's field of vision.

Lastly, the Prof asked me to instill antibiotic drops into Behenji's eyes and

just after I had done that,She got hold of my shirt casually, and felt the

texture, and said nothing, but as we all were walking out,she called back the Prof

and ordered him to mark me absent for 2 days for not wearing khadi.

That's commitment,dedication,U name it,my friends.

shyam -- that was a nice anecdote.

even though you got reprimanded -- i would think that was a are honor.

here 100% cotton is universally popular and the line of linen shirts looks so

much like khadi -- and there are the hand woven shirts you get in the ethnic

stores --
