Our orthotist is wonderful! She was great with both baby and nervous parents! did great until about the last 5 minutes. Then she started to arch her back and didn't want to sit anymore. She then started to cry and pretty much screamed for the last 2-3 minutes. But then it was all over. I however managed to leave tear free! I didn't think that would happen. I even wore my water-proof mascara! If that is the worse part of the helmet therapy, than this will be a breeze! Teri- I'm so glad it went well. I am pretty stoic about these sort of things. I saw Dane go through a lot in the NICU and it didn't phase me. For some reason the casting got to me. I had to run out of the room. I'm glad dh and my mom were there to take over. I NEVER act that way either. But when it was over, he could have cared less. He fell asleep in the tub. That's great that you like your orthotist! Give that bare head lots of kisses while you are waiting for the band! Dane's mom DOC Grad
