Dear Ashok,

You cannot bar teen Sex by law.It is not feasible. Sex is something so personal.

What one needs is values, to teach them that sex is more than a physical

feeling.

I'll let you into something personal. when my sister and i were growing up, my

mother, being way ahaed of her times, sat with us to discuss the " birds and the

bees " . i can proudly say that i did not have to resort to chaep books to learn

about sex. if i had any questions, i would approach her!

but the point i was getting to was, when she told us about sex, she said i will

not tell you not to have sex before marriage, or that premarital sex is bad.But

remember, sex is the clsest you can come to a person. it is " physically " nice,

but more than that, with the right person, it is emotionally fulfilling. so do

it only when you are very sure. Years later, now i realise how right she was.

I'll always respect her for this.

Of course, those days, the AIDS threat etc. was not much known. When my daughter

grows up, i intend to give her the same message, with a " dose " on the " goodness "

of condoms attached.

In fact in college, i was the most " knowledgeable " girl in the batch in these

matters. In fact i often had to explian the non-veg jokes to the girls.!
