Hi everybody,

Came home late at 3am,y'day after a busy day,and was surprised to see my

Shrimatiji,sitting glued to HomePC,

Shyam-Kya hua,sab teekh to hain na?.

Seema-Haan,tum hi ne kahan tha na,ki aaj,Ayesha, photos upload karnewali hain,to

mein ne socha, kyo na download kiya jaiy.

Shyam- Aur kaise lag rahe hain, hamare dost sab,dus saal baad?.

Seema- Bahut acche lag rahe hain.Lagta hain, jaise pehle the, waise hi hain ab

bhi,.....par

Shyam-Par?, Par,kya?.

Seema-Dekho,inki photos kitni acchi bhi ayee hain, par humare yahan to jyada

lights ki vajah se photos sab teekh nahi aati.

Shyam-Sahi hain,par hamare paas bhi to advanced digitalcamera,DVD moviecam,hain,

to phir kyo hota hain samaj mein, baath nahi aati.

Then,my Shrimatiji made a wonderful discovery.

Seema-Yeh UK mein hain na is liye.

Shyam-Tumhara matlab?.

Seema-Dekho,agar Riyadh mein hota to saab auratein, Sona ke dus kangan ek haath

mein aur dus doosre haat mein, aur gale mein teen ya chaar necklaces, aur dus

angooti, aur bade bade kaan ke baali, pehen ke aate,to photographer ka flash,

photos ko aur overexpose kar deta aur isi liye khaarab ho jate hain,

Par yeh hamari UK ke lovely ladies,ne bahut acche se,sunder jewellery se, apne

photos khich waye hain, aur isi liye acchi ayeen hain.

To which I agreed,b'cos,I have thrown a mini challenge to my Filipino OPD

sisters here, that if any of my Arab female patient despite, the pain and

sufferings of an eye

infection,if comes in without 5 huge gold bangles,a huge gold chain with an

equally huge pendant,I shall examine the patient free of charge and waive off

her checkup fees

of 1200Rs.

Till date,I have lost only 4 times.

GOOD PHOTOS, AYESHA.

Bye.

Shyam(84).

MGIMS UK RE-UNION '2004- Breaking News!

Dear all,

Thank you, once again, for taking the time from ur respective busy

schedules to come to the MGIMS UK re-union and making it a big

success!

Special thanks goes out to Dr. Bedi for recommending Madhu's , Dr.

Sadhana Bose for liasing with the restaurant, and Dr. Ashok Bhaskar

for making the effort to travel trans-Atlantic(!) just to be there.

The centrally located venue, the mouth-watering culinary delights,

the decked-out ladies, and the precious company of seniors and

friends made this re-union one of my most cherished memories.

I am sure Late Badi Behenji would have been pleased to see the

special bond that made all us MGIMS Alumni come together. It

certainly felt like a family gathering rather than a reunion.

Just for the record, the alumni present were:

1. Prakash Punjabi '80 and wife

2. Amulya Nadkarni '82

3. Ahuja '82 and family

4. Malini Prasad '82 and family

5. Ashok Bhaskar '84

6. Sadhana Bose '85 and family

7. Umarjit Bedi '85 and wife

8. Shanaya Bhaya '86 and family

9. Iqroop Chopra '86 and wife

10. Avleen Sawhney '86 and family

11. Shalini Singh '88

12 Nidhi Sethi '90 and family

13. Mufaddal Munim '91 and family

14. T.Ravikumar '91

15. Ayesha Tahreem '96 and husband

16. Saranya '97

We hope this tradition will be a regular feature in the years to

come and I am sure next time around we will have a bigger gathering.

I would urge everyone to bring their spouse/children for the next

time.

Those in U.K. who were unable to attend were:

1. Sudip Ghosh '83

2. Aradhana and Sanjay Ingley '84

3. Muthukumar '85 and Sonali

4. Agam Jung '85 and Suresh Singh

5. Dipesh and Dipali

6. Dheeraj Kapoor '88

7. Mihir Wechelekar '92

8. Aastha Pathak '90

9. Swati Kumar and Mudit Kumar

10. Ram Prakash '97

11. V. Bhavana '97

12. Sarthak Sinha '97

13. Anuradha Kurve '95

Could the above alumni please make a special effort to be present in

the future reunions.

Unfortunately, the following alumni were 'La-pata':

1. Anil Lokhande '79

2. Meena Popat '82

3. Manju and Narayan '83

4. Lopa Mitra

I am posting the Re-union pictures on the group in the photos

section. Enjoy the trip down memory lane.

LETS HEAR IT FOR MGIMS... THREE CHEERS FOR OUR ALMA MATER ...HIP-HIP

HURRAY!

I do not know about others Shyam- in my case, ghar-grahasthi ke

chakar mein if I can find a matching bindi I feel decked up enough!!!

Gone are those carefree days when there was all the time (and

inclination?) to indulge in dressing up.
