Guest guest
My blood lipids went through the roof when on HAART, and I use several agents to correct the problem with great results.Lipitor 10mg each nightNiaspan, 3000 mg, each nightFish oil, 3000 mg, each night.and, one asprin tablet each night, too. This has brought everything down to nice, low levels.I wouldn't think that you could replace your prescribed medications with any over the counter stuff, but you might get improvement from adding other "alternative" treatments, as part of a combined approach. On Aug 16, 2005, at 8:16 AM, PozHealth wrote:I again feel like I am alone out there, even though I am not. This group has been fantastic in helping me regain my life in many ways. I recently had non-fasting bloodwork done and cholesterol was 219 and triglycerides of over 700. Now, when I started PI back in the day, my triglycerides were over 2200. I am on Gemfibrozil and Zetia. Has anyone else experienced this uncontrollable mess? What are you taking, how often and at what doses? Any success with Omega-3 tablets in place of drugs? My DR is suggesting adding Crestor, and I am just not satisfied with throwing pills at it, I mean we take enough already. Thanks everyone in advance!! Barrowpozbod@...
