If you had seen my dd just a few years ago she was heading for residential - not speaking to anyone, behaviour at home off the wall, diagnosed with ASD. All gone now with hormone supplementation. Everyone is amazed at the difference. The lack of hormones explain why she couldn't cope with TST, even though it helped. It's a balancing act - but, life is completely different now. The improvement in her cognitive skills are the most amazing. We are left with the effects of the stroke that she had after the Vit K overdose. > > > > > > > > > > > > Dr G did an Autonomic test on ds 7yrs old. Guest guest
No, supplementing the hormones is not always a good thing, but, sometimes the benefits outweigh the potential downsides as untreated leads to even more fatigue and pressure on the adrenals. Salt and Vit c for adrenals, amino acids at bedtime to help neurotransmitter production and hormone production helps. > > > > > > > > > > Dr G did an Autonomic test on ds 7yrs old. Guest guest
They are not steroids, simply antihistamines targeting different types of histamine receptors to those targeted by anti-allergy antihistamines. used as antacids, for reflux (which ds has). Guest guest
The low Vit D will prevent the thyroid hormone from being adequately used. A bit of a catch 22 situation. Good idea to check the thryoid hormones especially if it runs in the family. x > > > > > > > > > > > > Dr G did an Autonomic test on ds 7yrs old. Guest guest
Thanks - yes it was the doses given as a baby. I am still struggling to come to terms with it. She needs a whole load of hormones, but, in time she may not need as many. She is on thyroid hormone (natural dessicated), hydrocortione, DHEA, oestrogen and pregnenolone. I read somewhere that if you want to build a brain from scratch that you would start with pregnenolone! x > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Dr G did an Autonomic test on ds 7yrs old. Guest guest
So sorry to hear that your DS regresses the day he had the MMR. Thanks so much for your kind thoughts and hugs. On this list we know that we all have our experiences of fighting the system that has caused the damage in the first place, even if that experience is different - we all know how we all feel, and that is worth so much. Best of luck with your DS and hope that the thyroid tests are useful. xx > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Dr G did an Autonomic test on ds 7yrs old.
