Guest guest
The specialis put in his letter of medical necessity that Jenna was born with plagio. he called it positional though. In my letter I did a whole section of why it should be covered under newborn care for abdnormalities or birth defect. The exclusion states, " for cranial (head) remodeling band for the treatment of positional non- synostoic plagiocephaly. " - My husband just wants me to forget about it and go on. He doesn't want me stressing over it. It makes me so angry with insurance companies. As many of you know it is hard to find the time and energy to fight the insurance. I have 3 very active kids and I think my husband thinks I will become consumed in another appeal. I have mixed feelings. I want to keep fighting if not for Jenna but for other babies. On the other hand I want to go on and not stress over the insurance. We really need the money but we can survive without it but if for some reason they suggested a second band we would be out of luck. I don't see that happening because they are saying she should be done in January. I better quit rambling.
