Guest guest
Hi Ana, Sorry that you are having such difficulties with asthma. There are definitely many different kinds of asthma and various causes. I can't imagine why the 15 medicines don't control your condition. I'm not familiar with the xolair injections. What symptoms are you having? Guest guest
Ana, Sorry to hear you are having such problems with Xolair. I recently posted in another reply about my own success with Xolair. Some times it takes a long time (3 - 6 months) before you will see any relief from the shots. The risks associated with Xolair are actually minimal. There was a minor concern about cancer because during the testing, because 20 of over 4000 patients who got Xolair showed malignancies during the year of testing, while only 10 of the 4000 who got the placebo did. However, this was dismissed as a statistical anomaly because the rate of cancer (per the CDC) among the total US population is about 0.46%, while the rate shown during the Xolair testing was 0.48%. I hope you see some positive results soon.
