My sons band cost $1350. $245 was paid by pharmacare, $ 885 was covered by my extended health benefits from work, and we paid $230 out of pocket...or something like that! A word of caution is to make sure when the referral is made that the dr states it is medically necessary...pharmacare and my extended insurer implied that it was cosmetic therefore they wouldn't pay!!!
