Guest guest
<<< When had first entered our group, I had allowed many of her mails to be published anonymously. I think that any sensible person could have seen that the mails were fun loving and were not meant to hurt anybody. What I mean by saying that it was unnecessary to resign is that in due course we could have learned the identity of this member, just like Neeti. Does not everyone remember the extreme pleasure that Neeti's sudden entry had caused?>>> Dear Munish and All, I would also like to add my bit here to make few things clearer to the group. When i had sent my first anonymous mail to this group.... my intentions were purely to distract the group from the most controversial topic of the religion.......at that time i wasn't even thinking of participating actively in the group discussions......but thats not the issue here. The point i'm trying to tell the group (may be Kishore doesn't even remember that) is,despite my declaration that " guess me " game was just to change the course of conversation..........it was no one else but our moderator Kishore who had very clearly objected to my anonymous mails, and i did get a very stern mail from him telling me to declare my identity very soon......and i still remember he had also said, " even though i've published your mails since they are not malicious but i've an obligation to follow the policies of this group ........and i'll be forced to stop you from further participating in the group discussions " Even though at that time i didn't like his strictness and objection to my harmless anonymity.....but now after reading all this BB,GSG and Munish's confusion about this group's policies.............i think Kishore was genuinely right in stopping me (i wish i had saved that " strict " letter to quote to this group as it is !!) .........and i must say Kishore definitely did his best as a moderator which i did not understand at that point........ but i can now very clearly see the tough challenges he faces at times as a moderator. So guys if we can not do anything in return for the relentless, selfless and most of all " thankless " services our efficient moderator has been providing us for years and years........lets stop picking on him for his challenging job.....lets not make a mountain of a molehill.......lets not question him about his orientation towards the policies of this group................'coz as far as i know he was very duty conscious regarding my anonymous mails and i can say that with a confidence (which comes from my own experience). I hope that helps . Neeti'86 __________________________________________________

To err is human...nobody's judgement is infallible.....that includes our very own Kishoreda. Now I also got that feeling but I did not dare that express that....because of this " Khabardaar Kishore ko kucch bola to " attitude of the group and I really appreciate Munish's courage. While we are indebted to Kishore's selfless, mature, balanced moderation let us not promote sycophancy. I disagree with you Neeti when you say thet it is a thankless job...We all are very thankful... the mere act of tuning into the group is testimonial to everybody's appreciation. Between our busy profession, golf , other responsibilities we find this group so invigorating that we faithfully tune in almost daily.Even the silent readership has to be tuning in regularly other wise they would be on the bouncer's list. And all this is nothing but a pat on Kishore's shoulder for his artful moderation...the only reason this group is so alive and ticking is beacause of the extent of mails he allows....like he says he almost doesn't delete any mails. The other protective feature is that mails have to be deleted in their entirety and cannot be just edited. True freedom of speech is entertained here and thats what makes it so invaluable. Now every now and then he has to communicate directly with a member like he did with you. Thanks for clarifying. Anyway, lets clarify all your misconceptions one by one. First of all its not " khabardaar Kishore ko kucch bola to " kind of attitude or its not even that one can't question why something is the certain way........but its about questioning without any biases........All that i'm for is the " right thing " ........and if you remember, while we were discussing FMG issue, the whole group was after you...... asking you to apologise.......probably i was the only one opposing that.......'coz asking for apology was not something right just for having a different opinion......so i voiced my opinion in favor of what was the right thing .....like Heinz Kerry says, " true patriots are those who speak truth to the power of their country " .......)))).....Just kidding!!! And secondly, most of the time its not the question itself thats a problem........rather its the way a question is raised .....that speaks more than the question itself.Like in Munish's case it wasn't why he questioned Kishore about the policies of this group regarding baingan bhurta's resignation.......rather it was his framing of question and using words like " soft corner " ,implying GSGs ban on " frivolous grounds " which were kind of aggravating. However i definitely admire the honesty and courage of you two.But at the sametime i would also like to tell you that freedom of speech doesn't mean blurting out anything that comes to our mind.......rather its a privilege,to be excercised with caution and responsibility.......and we all are mature enough to understand that responsibility before opening our ......(?big)mouths. Now,regarding sycophancy,.....in my opinion, all the genuine praises for someone's work of labor, which are based on facts and have no ulterior motives...........don't qualify to be labelled as sycophancy......thats my opinion, but again you are definitely entitled to yours......!! I hope thats clear enough. Neeti'
