Guest guest
Debbie, Trazadone is used in very small doses such as 25 - 50 mg to safely help with sleep. This is NOT a therapeutic dose. When used in this small of a dosage, it is not being used as an antidepressant and does not have that effect on the brain. All it does is help induce sleep for people who have insomnia and need long term meds to help with this problem. My daughter has been on it for 3 years and no problems, except thankfully - sleep. I have not seen it do anything for anxiety or any other symptom my daughter has. I hope this reassures you, and your daughter benefits from a sound sleep. Ann Re: Question about medications! Debbie, Everything I have read about this drug says that it is NOT to be used in children. I would use caution if I were you. None of the popular antidepressants have really been researched fully in children. I am part of the scientific community and I constantly read the research. I know I will not risk it in my daughter. > Hi! > > I have a 8-year-old high functioning daughter with > autism.
