Guest guest
Dear all, Well..I do not know about JNBH but I am sure JNGH residents must have participated in this " Paneer Hunt " ..sometime during their Sewagram stay. I was cooking Matar-Paneer yesterday. I made Paneer cubes and when I finally mixed the cubes with my cooked peas..the paneer cubes looked abnormally large to me..!! He he he..and that was when I was reminded of the gr8 " Paneer Hunt " at JN girls' hostel...! I hope u remember..dont u ?? Whenever we got to know that there is Matar Paneer for Lunch-- 1)We use to make sure we reached well in time 2) During the actual hunt the task was not easy. We had to identify the micro paneeer pieces out of the gravy and also distinguish them from the similar looking and same size potato cubes..aaahhhh.! The task was not easy..but..u see practise makes a 'woman' ( I am talking abt JNGH)..perfect! But whatsoever ...it was fun to sit and eat with friends either in the Mess/ TV room.... I really miss..my old days..the Paneer hunt..and all the excitement and fun! Ayesha '

Guest guest
Dear all, At our times cottage cheese was an expensive comodity (for the mess)... We used to do a " mutter hunt " - most of the seniors would polish off the peas and all we would have was the potatoes in a thin gravy!
