Hi Liz,

My daughter was potty trained at 4 as well. We went to Wal-mart and bought her

lots of pretty panties.

Princess and different characters. Toys R Us and Target have other different

characters too.

I explained to her she was a big girl now and she had to use panties like the

big girls. Mommie doesn't wear a diaper.

I didn't throw out all her diapers though. She'd come home from school and she

needed to poop so she asked me for a diaper.

So whenever I'd get a diaper for her I'd show her and we would count how many

diapers she had left. When it

got down to 3, then 2 and then the last one. I showed her the bag was empty. I

told her there were no more diapers.

I would then tell her lets go potty and we'd go together. I didn't ask her if

she wanted to go potty. I would try to

distract her. I wouldn't interrupt her or try to take away her focus if she was

doing something important. But every

chance I'd get I would tell her lets go potty. Take books or toys and tell her

we'd leave it on the counter until she

was done. Lots and lots of patience. And panties!!! Take care and be well.

God bless!!
