Guest guest
well i will chase up the importers of the ezekial products then - I was so excited to see it advertised in new vegetarian magazine here - i had not heard of them till my uncle mentioned the pasta. wow - they do tortillas too! I dont think they had those here but i did find some new taco shells in blue corn here from garden of eating. they used to import the ships too. some of them were broken so i got my chips too - LOL wow that middle easter feast sounds amazing. yeah good veg options - heaps of variety inthose dishes. We found some falfels - organic atthe Farmers market - this company is making them on a small scale and selling to other outlets. We told them about rice bran oil and they are exploring that! wrote: I’m a big fan of their products. I find that their sprouted cereals really agree with me, but I gotta admit that they are pretty dense. I like their sprouted wheat tortillas, again seem to agree with me well. I also have tried their spaghetti and like it too. I went to a Middle Eastern Buffet 2 weeks ago at a restaurant in Newton Massachusetts .. They have an amazing variety of stuff on it. Their humus is really good and their falafel was great too. They also sell their products to whole foods. Most of the items on the buffet were vegan so you need not go hungry if you skip the kibi(I don’t mean millet) From: VeganMacrobiotics [mailto:VeganMacrobiotics ] On Behalf Of Ilanit Tof Sent: Thursday, December 28, 2006 4:13 AM To: VeganMacrobiotics Subject: Re: ezekial products and falafel yes we have sprouted bread here but this brand makes pasta, breakfast cereal (even though i am not a fan of usual breakfast cereals - cold ones i am intrigued with what they claim to do. more so the pasta though... i am also wondering if anyone has a good simple falafel recipe? the ones i fdound online were rather odd with baking soda and also with everything from peanut butter and white bread. I am more looking to know the mix and amount of the spices - basically cumin and coriander and if t is best to use soaked raw chickpeas or cooked? I dont use garlic so will rely on the spices to get the taste with maybe some onion. the rice bran oil is amazing with falafel - gets them crisp on the outside with hardly any oil absorption and crisp on the inside. I used an organix mix recently but was not so impressed with the spice mix. Klara LeVine wrote: I used to love the ezekial breads - that was ages ago.
