Guest guest
Jane,If you use the TLC Assess Gather Pro version which is in the latest download, there shouldn't be any 60 Hz meter. That's one of those things in BioExplorer that seems like it would make sense but behaves quite unpredictably. I dumped it some time ago. There's no 50 or 60 hz meter in the versions I use. They often failed to respond when there was strong 60--or acted erratically like this when there wasn't. Just extend your Spectrum Analyzer to 60 if you want to be able to see what's there. I look at the 60 Hz level as an indicator of the level of quality in my hookup. If I'm confident my hookup is good (and the electrodes are good), then I don't worry much about it. I've tested a few time (and Dr. Rocatti has done the same in a much more rigorous way), and the presence of 60 hz doesn't have any effect on frequencies below 60 (though it can make the oscilloscope look pretty nasty). Obviously a bad electrode connection or scratched electrode head or nicked wire could have a negative effect on signal quality. Shutting off some electrical stuff and repasting brought the fluctuation down to 0 to 1, but sometimes it flickered up to 3. At what point is the data collect invalid due to interference?
