Guest guest
Hurrah, Nola!! This was very beautiful, and I greatly appreciated being able to read this! Thanks Much! PJ N wrote:ATTITUDE I truly believe that, no matter how bad or traumatic an event appeared at the time, absolutely everything happens for a reason - to teach us lessons in the 'scholarly journey' of life... and that this only means that something much bigger and better, something way more beautiful is waiting for you - somewhere, somehow! God can weave a beautiful tapestry from even the most tangled thread of a shattered life.. It's just a matter of " hanging in by the fingernails " with the hidden strength of character that we all have deep within us...and which is only severely tested in trials and tribulations. Like the 'pearl of great' price, which is produced by the great irritation of the oyster. This suffering breeds our great strength of character, which is within every one of us. It's not what happens to us in life...it's how we react to what has happened to us...and our success will largely depend on our ATTITUDE to life: by remaining optimistic and open to new opportunities in the face of hardship, when all seems lost. Continue to do your part to open new doors amidst your trials and tribulations. All we need is FAITH to keep going. So many miners gave up within inches of finding the gold in the seam of life. I have an absolute faith in a Power way beyond ourselves, God, Life, Spirit of the Universe, Higher Authority, Infinite Intelligence, the Ultimate Source, the Creator (whatever you wish to call Him/It). However, I also believe that God, first helps those who help themselves. He may steer the course of our lives, but we have to take action and start peddling. He always gives us HOPE and LOVE when we may think we have nothing left...and God, Life Force, the Universe wants what is best for us and for us to be fulfilled and happy. That, I believe, is why , I believe God always conspires to deliver when we want something with all our heart and soul. God can make our wildest dreams come true -ones that are far bigger and more magnificent than we could ever have dreamed ourselves.
Guest guest
ATTITUDE The world sometimes conspires to drive us mad. Wrong! Even when it seems like everything is going wrong, it rarely is. On days like these, try adding it all up. That's right, make a written list of all the things that have gone wrong so far in the day. Feel free to stretch your imagination. I am even giving you permission to double count. (If your toddler ate the heating bill, you can count it as " having to chase down misfiled paperwork " and " rush to emergency ward for swallowing an indigestible " ). Then make a list of everything that went right that day (so far). Be honest. Include that the car started and the seat belts work and that there exists an emergency ward to take your toddler. You will discover that very few things conspire to drive you crazy; most things conspire to help you. The problem is that we take for granted the things that help us, but those that drive us crazy stand in our way and call for attention. Writing these lists is one way to help us regain our balance and get a grip on life. May you live all the days of your life, Leonhardt, The Happy Guy
Guest guest
I LOVE IT !!! I have to confess I haven't posted my workouts here, but I read what is going on. I have been doing t-tapp, rebounding, walking, step aerobics and what ever I can do. I try not to focus on my health challenges since they are unlikely to go away. Each day is a challenge with MS, just trying to stand up without assist, the pains, weakness, fatigue that come with it. I push myself no matter how bad I feel. If I mentioned or waited until I felt better to workout, I never would. Instead I focus on what I can do. From: Subject: Fw: AttitudeTo: exercisevideos Date: Saturday, October 1, 2011, 6:09 PM I normally wouldn't send something like this to our group, but with the recent discussions of dealing with illnesses and exercise I thought it seemed more appropriate than I normally would have. I really liked it, perhaps you will too! > Attitude > > > > > There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. > > 'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'
