O's and C's. In fact I had a meeting with she and her counselor, and then her teachers so she could share this information directly. I found it helpful so that the teachers would know what they were dealing with. We also shared all the various ticks and basically, everything. I'm glad we did, because they could treat her with more compassion, and not treat her like a " drama queen " when she freaked out over a rubber band (she has rubberband contamination issues). Also, both of my daughters are in the GATE program (gifted and talented). I'm glad they both have that designation, since it stays with them throughout school (at least in our district). I did have to go back and speak with the teacher of my 9 y.o. when her OCD was bringing out the " perfection " issues. The " challenge " homework was just stressing her out too much (since she was already doing math problems 2 or 3 times each in order to make sure they were perfect) and homework was taking too long. I got a note from her therapist requesting that we not give her " challenge " homework until we can build up some coping skills. Quote
