Guest guest
Many thanks to all for input on Dr. R. Fortunately we have enough room on a credit card to deal with the costs. We have really high deductibles so will be saying " ouch " for some time, but it's necessary to get this going. And, Courtenay, you're right about the R & R. Hubbie is looking forward to taking some time off to drive there. We're staying the day before the appt. just to get him away from the business. He used to live there, and if I'm up to it, we will drive to some of his old haunts. He said " Lucky Me, I Live In Lubbock " was the official bumper sticker and may still be. F & F doc was never demeaning and tried to teach my what might be happening with my system, and it all jives with what you all have discussed, but I just didn't feel he had any real experience or an ability to " connect " and it wasn't a good feeling. Since several of you have come away with a sense of confidence in Dr. R's background, skill, ability to communicate and caring nature, that's won me over. I went ahead and took 5mg more nortriptyline last night and I think it's helped the anxiety a lot. I was sleeping pretty well but woke up around 5am with a severe nasal passage pain. It's been very dry in Dallas after the freezing days, and that plays havoc with my dry nose due to prescrip allergy spray. Hubbie is having same pain. Must spray with more saline water. Hoping for rain, but hubbie wants sun for golf. Actually felt like a ride today, so we drove to hubbie's dental appointment in Rockwall near the edge of Lake Ray Hubbard, and I sat in the sun and just enjoyed feeling some relaxation after the past few weeks of anxiety. Maybe some day I won't have to take these drugs and can feel relaxed on my own. A Happy New Year to everyone.
