- that's a very good question. I think they feel that since her last

EEG showed the classic epileptic formation ( whatever THAT is ), & we were

told at that time that the activity is generalized, she's having

complex-partial seizures. That's pretty much what the Neuro's nurse told me.

Complex-partial is the seizure type that can generalize, & become

tonic-clonic ( grand mal ) seizures. Ever since we found her on the floor

( about a year & 1/2 ) ago, I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop. I

knew that unless they found the right drug ( or combination of drugs ), it

was just a matter of time before her seizures worsened . Unfortunately, they

haven't been able to get the drugs right yet, & I had the misfortune of

witnessing my daughter succumb to a tonic-clonic seizure about 2 weeks ago.

No fun, I can tell you....

I made sure that the next appointment I made with the Neuro is VERY early in

the morning. That way, my husband will have to take me to it & HE can talk

to the doctor. It's very hard dealing with an active 4 year old, & then have

your wits about you, to address every issue on your mind. I just can't do

it... My mind is shot...
