Guest guest
Meditation vs. medication. This is a spiritual issue which needs a spiritual resolution. Meditate! Re: Medication and Growth You cannot generalize that just because one medication delays growth that they all do. It sounds like fear tactics. If it is any consolation, I have heard that Ritalin stunts growth by a whopping 1/4 " . Total. Not per year. I also know of a 21 year old man on Ritalin his entire childhood who grew to be 6'4 " . So I wouldn't be too concerned. I did worry for a while that it might have been slowing my son's growth as he didn't grow for over a year but then I found out that anxiety is actually a bigger impact than any medication. Once on Risperdal and when he started eating for a change (he had been so underweight from getting nauseous when he worried) he gained 10 pounds in 3 months and grew almost 3 inches in that same time. In summary, I would be more concerned that your child's anxieties would interfere with his/her growth than the medication. R. --------------------------------- Post your free ad now! Yahoo!
