This was a virgin for me and it was okay. Libby leads it, which was strange to see but she did pretty well I thought. It is all floor exercises for 30 minutes, using 1 set of dumbbells and the fanny lifter (or a chair would work). She said use 3-8 lbs and I went with 8s though I had 5s ready in case they were too much but there are so few reps that 8s were good. I definitely felt it for the last couple of reps on most exercises but any heavier would have been too much. I had planned to do this one (first one this week I did that I'd planned to do and did it on the day I planned to do it) and it worked well because I did something, I have no idea what, to my left foot yesterday and it is very sore walking on it. I have to walk a lot to get to the meeting room at a large hospital for work today so I'm wearing my tennis shoes & orthotics (my cute black flats I would be wearing are too thin for my orthotics). I'm hoping that will help though I look kinda funny with dress slacks, pretty blouse and tennies! I'm not sure what workout I'm going to do tomorrow, probably an upper body instead of the cardio workout I had planned. We'll see how it is tomorrow. I took ibuprofen at 5:30 this morning and it really hasn't done much for it. I only hurt when I put weight on it though, so that's good. Anyway, this workout was okay. Not bad at all, just too short I guess. I didn't feel a huge burn for most exercises, didn't feel like I was working hard enough I guess but I couldn't have gone up in weights and finish the reps with good form for most exercises. I did like that she interspersed some abs exercises in between the legs and she did seem to get all the major muscle groups so it was good enough. Not sure how if I'll keep it or not (it is on VHS so that makes it easier to get rid of too). I liked that it was just 30 minutes but again, not sure it did me a lot of good. I'll have to look at how many other short lower body workouts I have that might be more enjoyable and work me better. Off to work now!

I like that it's only 30 minutes - that's all the time Noel needs to kill my legs like he did last night, so I figure if I heavy up enough in this I should be good to go!

This won't even come close to killing you like Noel did. Maybe if you really heavy up it might do some damage but probably not enough. I've done other floor work that was much more difficult (without adding heavy weights).

Good job, , even it was an easier one. This will have to go on my " I have

too much dread to do a real leg workout " list. Right next to 's Shortcuts

Lower Body, hee.

Hope your foot feels better soon!

Hi Sara!

Funny you should mention 's workout! I was just thinking this morning that maybe I'll get rid of this one and keep 's instead since I don't think I need both and I think I like 's better. I've only done hers once or twice though and it has been a really long time so I was also thinking I'll try it again next week to refresh my memory and help me make a decision.
