Guest guest
and remember that the leaky gut can heal and the child can usually go back on regular foods. My grandson has been gfcf over 6 years and we think his gut is healed. He started eating SOME gluten foods and is doing ok so far. He is so happy to have oatmeal! He ate his first bowl here last week and said. " Now Mom, why did you make me stop eating the good food?" lol

Guest guest
Just FYI: Oats are only an issue if they are processed along the same lines as gluten containing grains, and have a chance of cross-contamination. My husband has celiac disease and has never had a problem with oats. We found our kids have issues with corn syrup and artificial along with gluten & casein. -GA Re: GF/CF diet and remember that the leaky gut can heal and the child can usually go back on regular foods.
