Guest guest
Sounds like a good book...I think Sally Fallon's epiphany came after living in France as well. She does make the point, however, that the French suffer from degenerative diseases. They eat tons of sugar and junk carbs. My favorite stat from Fallon was that heart disease was lowest in the foie gras producing region of France. I think his general guidelines are good (especially the quality vs. quantity issue), but the portion control might be hard to adapt for Americans with broken appestats... -- If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention. Guest guest
I have always lost weight in France - always. But I also walk MILES more a day in France (or wherever I go on vacation) than I do at home. I agree with the gist of this, however - I appear to have destroyed my ability to eat carbs without consequences, but for a " normal " person, I suspect this advice would work well. Not enough lectures/tutorials, too much time to cook and eat! Bread and croissants everyday, with pain au chocolat at weekends.
