Hey this is GREAT! If your viral load dropped this much, you are doing

great at 5 weeks.

When I did tx, my liver didn't respond. I went from having a 50,000 VL

to a 1,000,000 VL. Now my VL stays in the millions.

Good luck, not sure about the WBC.

That's an excellent decrease for 4 weeks. If it continues at the same

pace you should be clear at 12 weeks.

It looks like your Procrit is going to need to be titrated down.

Either decrease the dose or go longer between shots. You don't want

the hemoglobin to increase more than 1 gram in a 2 week period of

time.....because of the risk of high blood pressure, or having seizures

or blood clots. You also don't want the Hg to ever go higher than 12

because then your heart has to overwork to pump the blood. All this

info is on the medication insert. If your doctor didn't tell you to

titrate down CALL HIM AND ASK HIM.

It doesn't matter how low the white cells are as long as the

NEUTROPHILS are normal. Neutrophils are white cells that protect you

against BACTERIAL infections (sinus, throat, skin infections, etc).

Not having enough neutrophils can cause the infection to go to the

blood stream and cause sepsis.

The neutrophil results is on the bottom of your CBC. Your doctor also

needs to keep a close eye on the rest of the differential to make sure

that all those new red cells are not immature cells because they are

being produced so Fast.

None of this is meant to worry or upset you .....as anybody that

knows me will tell you, I am anal.....LOL

45 on the neutrophils is great. Studies have shown that the rate of

sepsis on people with low neutrophils is not any higher. Itwould be

more dangerous for people who have cirrhosis to have a low neutrophil

count.

Great catch ....you would need to stay away from people with

strep.....and if you do get an infection and your neutrophiols are

low, you would call your doctor and get antibiotics RIGHT AWAY. I

find that people tend to wait to see if things go away on their own.
