Guest guest
Thanks for the complement, but I have a hard enough time simply trying to calm the spiraling questions in my own brain. I can’t handle anyone else’s. J I am going to Washington and look forward to meeting you. As for your dilemma, why don’t you make up a contract to work as a “consultant.” You can offer them a business plan (steal it off my website if you want) and site visits, etc. Charge either for the package deal or by the hour (local non-MDs ones here charge $150-$200/hr). Personally, I would not charge a doc who comes to me looking for information about this type of practice, but if a business does (and none have), I would really consider charging because they can afford it and are likely to get a lot of publicity from their marketing department leading to an increase in their revenue. By the way, if they balk, so what? How many other IMPS are there they can call (unless they wanted to call me up from VA J). You have the knowledge, you should get paid. The only decision is whether you think by offering your advice for free you serve the “common good” and sleep better at night. Hope this is helpful! Money and a question brady says what I would say if I had better typing fingers and a tidy polished bain like his. When we meet in D.c.soon he will answer anything anyone asks me.( are you going john? ) question I have just rec'd a call from an administrotr of an island community off the coast of maine .(not near me I am in the western foot hills 2 hrs drive from where they get the ferry) A colleague I precetp with has been wroking there transitioting from a hospital employed job to he- does- not- know- what -yet in the future. he is a good candiate for being an IMP So I have told him about it... The island has a population of 300 year round swells to 1200 in summer They are aware and able it sounds like to subsidize him a bit and he could practice in a way that would be good for patietns and for him. Question --is right now I am just failing abit for money Will get better as I have signed on to one company PPO and HMo but I am hurting abit They want- the adminsitrtors -to come see my pratcioe. It is not like me to charge though a good businesswoman might I am a tightwad with my own money and since I hate spending I like to be genreous and have others not spend . But even if they come at lunch well lunch is working lunch Should I cahrge? would that be ok? Could I ask for lunch I am inclined not to but any thoughts? Or, just send dollars
