Debbi,

I can't remember, is your son currently on any meds? Are you getting

any advice from his pediatrician? Did you talk to the psychologist

today? If so, did he/she offer any suggestions? You need some help

ASAP, you are at a breaking point and need to do something that can

get him out of this depression sooner rather than later. Once he's

stabilized, he should be ready to go back to the psychologist. Also,

if he's not already going, your husband needs to go to the

psychologist with you and your son to help him deal with this better

(speaking from experience). You need to get support from him and

take some of the burden off of your shoulders.

Maybe you should address what's going on with the doctors (advisors)

on this list. Just put " Ask Dr.______ " in the subject line. And DO

NOT apologize for asking for help, that's why everyone is here to get

(and give) help, support, and understanding.

nna.

Becky,

I used inositol powder for from 6-8th grades. He's on Celexa

now though. It worked well for him. He's in 10th grade now.

Did you just start it? Give it a good 12 weeks or so to build up so

you can tell how it's going to do (or can you already tell?). Like

prescription meds, it might or might not help, you just never know!

I really was glad it worked well for him though; plan to try going

back on it whenever I decide to wean him off Celexa, but that'll be a

while yet.

I never got him up to 18 grams, we got by OK on around 11 to 13 or

so; I gave him extra if he asked for some though.

and am also going to give it to my 9 year old son. I bought it in a

powder form at GNC - $40. I am mixing it with juice or water and

then drink it. They say it is a vitamin b8. Anyone here familiar

with it??

Hi Debbie,

I feel so bad for all of you. Your husband needs to stop yelling. It only

makes things worse, but you already know that.

I would check with the doctor and a wellness counselor at NEEDS, Inc. My

sister works at NEEDS. If you call and leave a message, a wellness

counselor or doctor will call you back and discuss vitamins. However, I

must say, please, please, please do not ever, anyone, assume that vitamins

cannot hurt. They most certainly CAN. In particular, I have a neuro-motor

disease which is aggravated by certain medications and vitamins which are

toxic to people like myself. Always get advice, it's of the utmost

importance.
