I'm all for suppliments used properly and of course lysine can

counteract the argenine but eating well is a balancing act and being

aware is key. Also monolaurin can break down the lipid envelope of

the virus to make it so that a person may never have an outbreak

again. It needs to be taken consistantly and in a fairly large dose

so one needs to be committed to taking it.

Hello , Glad to see this post, I too have hypoglycemia. In denial but have it. When decided to start macrobiotic the strangest thing happened, I felt good, really well suprisingly since usually walk around in little bit of fog one of the symptoms. Approximately 1 to 2 weeks into this new way of living, started to feel more alert, more energy and the biggest shock was losing a nice amount of weight. The only difference is there were times when needed to eat again 1 to 3 hours later, sometimes sooner. Lost desire for snacks "the unhealthy kind" replaced with fruit and vegetables which I love anway and if really wanted something substantial would get some brown rice with just a thin drizzle of brown rice syrup. Not exactly gourmet but worked. I do have question for you or anyone else that can answer. What does one do when hormonal changes occur monthly and start craving

chocolate or just anything sweet, even extra protein. I ate things that thought would not eat again and now feel very sick. How does one get thru ? It is now after 3am and can not sleep because of caffeine most likely in chocolate ate. Anyway, when finally fall asleep and wake up I am sure to be making soup and grains to get me thru the day. Enough bad eating and excuses even though the cravings and feelings were hormonal related and very real. I am very much ready to start feeling better then my choices this past week brought my way. leslieanneashburn wrote: Hi Simon,I'm curious if you've seen a lot of people who change to eating according to macro principles experience this extreme hunger? Hi KM,

I'm sorry you're feeling unwell with some of the foods you've been

eating. Do you have a macro counselor in your area that you can talk

to? Don't be too hard on yourself though. It sounds like you've made

so many great changes. We go through phases of eating well and then

not, and it's all a good learning experience and tool for self-

reflection.

Hello , I have not been on site for few days or so, finally realized why keep eating things this week that are bad for me. PMS Usually we go to our local co op and buy everything even our sweet treats. However, have been so busy found difficult to get there this week. Have to tell you when my family and I eat the foods from the co op even if snack foods we do not eat as much as we would if bought in regular grocery store that would not be organic. Possibly on to something the preservatives/additives in the foods is where they get people hooked on those horrible foods. Now that I survived the week with my out of control cravings, I started tonight with my brown rice dinner. I actually feel good again. Eating alot of soups and grains will get me back on track. Thanks for the response. Hypoglcemia is horrible would not wish on anyone. Take Care, leslieanneashburn wrote: Hi KM,I'm sorry you're feeling unwell with some of the foods you've been eating.
