Guest guest
Jeanne: Joint compressions - of course! I had utterly forgotten about doing those until I read your post. Now I'm thinking there might be other things I forgot about (it's been several years). I didn't mean to intend that Angie or anyone else should just do these things on their own, without some type of professional guidance, only that they did seem to be simple things that can be translated into home care. Angie - maybe you could pay for an assessment and plan out of pocket, and then follow up at home? Or if your dd is in public school, request an OT eval from the school special ed. department - that should be free. Sorry if I misled anyone - (MI)
Guest guest
Donna: Where in MI do you live? Our therapist is in East Lansing. His name is Dr. McGrath at Comprehensive Psychological Services. Phone is (517) 337-2900. If you live anywhere near, I highly recommend you call. He really knows his stuff, and trained at an inpatient anxiety clinic - worked with some of the toughest cases. I think I've read on this list that the rule of thumb is to look elsewhere if you're not seeing results within 5 weeks, so at 4 years, I' d say you're long overdue. Good luck! in MI
