Guest guest
By using some wicked magic, I've mixed the first 22 minutes of 's video from 1000 MB (MPEG-2) to 28 MB of Windows media video (WMV) which runs in a small box on the desktop. The final 10 minute should occupy about 10 MB. The movie is smaller but still looks pretty good. What this means in non-geek speak is that it's no problem to have this run from the web either in a streaming manner or downloadable manner. Guest guest
My talk is on Saturday, September 30 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., room 146A. I'm hoping it's somewhat different as it is based on snippets of video-I'm also making it " nonlinear " -I'm hoping the audience will determine what is looked at and what questions are discussed. We will see how it works out-I could end up with some arrows in my back-but that's the chance I'm going to take. Guest guest
I certainly would need permission from to distribute the DVD in any other way other than demonstration at the Academy meeting. I think the plan will be for a discussion to happen at the Academy meeting and further action after this. The DVD does demonstrate quite nicely coherent use of health information technology in a IMP practice (which by the way is what I asked her to demonstrate), as well as the type of care that is promulgated in this listserv. Having been lurking for some time and recently getting somewhat more active with this listserv, I think the idea for this type of thing is to promulgate ideas and best practices. Even within this group of very smart people, some will struggle more than others. Some of the struggling I believe is secondary to factors that cannot be easily influenced such as location, demographics etc., but some can be influenced such as use of information technology, systems thinking, business sense, billing and coding.
