Guest guest
Hi Rain, I also have two children (both teenage girls) with OCD. Neither of them were diagnosed before adolescence. In hindsight, they both showed signs much earlier but I was clueless about OCD. They are both now in therapy and doing well. Both have intrusive thoughts and one has suffered with anorexia as well. I know that there are many people on this board who have relatives with OCD. Take care, Sallie two children with ocd Hello, I have a nine year old son who has OCD and a four year old daughter who the last two weeks began having OCD episodes.Up until a couple of weeks ago the only signs she has shown is a clothing sensitivity (especially seams). My nine year old also started showing symptoms at four. He see's a CBT therapist once a week and a lot of his symptoms have dissapeared. I also have subclinical OCD and have a brother with OCD. I'm interested in hearing from others who have more then one child affected by this disorder. Also, does anyone know of any genetic studies underway? Guest guest
Hi Rain, I have one son, 15, with OCD. His is " OCD " as it was quite bad at one time. My other 2 sons (twin age 15 too, and my oldest 19) and also me have some OCD tendencies but nothing like is affecting my one son. Since my older son was affected back at around age 11.5, I have realized since that OCD at least comes from my own mother; definite OCD there! single mom, 3 sons > > Hello, > > I have a nine year old son who has OCD and a four year old daughter > who the last two weeks began having OCD episodes.Up until a couple > of weeks ago the only signs she has shown is a clothing sensitivity > (especially seams).
