I learned of it from Dr. Mercola, in his > Total Health Program and Cookbook, and also his website > www.mercola.com. It is from Mercola that I learned about > www.realmilk.com. Through the Real Milk website, I was able to email > someone who put me in contact with the farmer that I buy our raw milk > from today. It all happened a lot quicker than I thought it would! Hi Tabitha, You may want to try a lot more calcium and phosphorous as well as cod liver oil and x- factor butter oil. Sounds like a mineral deficiency to me. I would add lots of lentil soup to their diet (rich in magnesium and phosphorous) as well as a calcium supplement like dolomite. To order the CLO and butter oil go to www.greenpasture.org. You can learn all about those 2 products at that site. I think you are right to focus on the internal. But I would also focus a little on the toothpaste you are using. There was an article recently in Acres USA where a scientist has discovered that the glycerin used in most toothpastes forms a slick coating on teeth and prevents the body's natural re-mineralizer, saliva, to perform it's job on them and also prevents the saliva from alkalinizing them. Modern toothpastes also contain flouride, which is not only toxic, but it doesn't actually prevent cavities. It only keeps the old tooth bone in place where normally, the old tooth bone would have been shed and filled with new stronger tooth bone. Flouride also works to fill those holes with itself. All this creates brittle teeth that chip and crack and cause more trips to the dentist. He recommended taking monosodium phosphate with calcium, as well as tossing out your conventional toothpaste and going to...plain old soap and water. Believe it or not, that makes your teeth stronger and cleaner. The soap washed the food and bacteria right off, just like it does on your hands. And be sure the soap has no glycerin in it. Just plain Ivory will work. Anyway, I hope these recommendations help. D.
Guest guest
Thanks ! We've been giving the kids Calc Phos, and I've been to a Homeopathic Internal Medicine doc. She said it was a mineral prob and they weren't absorbing calcium fast enough. We have them on a multi- mineral with trace minerals...a potent ionic one. Have you heard of Xylitol? We use Tom's of Maine, and Xylitol is in there. Suppose to be great for the teeth, but many people I know are leary of it since it's " new. " We stay away from flouride, and have been for about 1 - 2 years now. Thanks again for all the info! Guest guest
I have heard of xylitol through Dr. , and I think it is great! I would still try soap and water, as soap really pulls that bacteria and food out of there, better than anything else... Have you heard of Jordan Rubin's book The Maker's Diet? I saw him speak recently at the WAPF conference, and one of his most memorable remarks was, " You are not what you eat, you are what you absorb. " I would get his book if I were you and see what all he has to say about gut health. Something is causing your kids to NOT absorb minerals and something is wrong there. The first thing that comes to my mind regarding that is gut health. If it were me, I would start the kids on a gut-healing./cleansing regimen, building up the good bacteria in their system (as these bacteria feed your immune system). I would use all kinds of probiotics, like kefir especially, as well as Primal Defense by Garden of LIfe (Jordan Rubin's company.) And I just want to point out that sugar is not really the problem where teeth are concerned. Studies have shown that you can put teeth in sugar solution and nothing happens to the enamel, but if you put them in a glass of phosphoric acid (as in Coca Cola) they will dissolve away very quickly to nothing. I KNOW you don't have your kids on coke, right? But I would check for something in their diets that contain phosphoric acid of any kind. Just thoughts. D.
