A function generator produces square, sine and other frequencies which

can be used to operate an EMEM and most other freq devices used for

Rife treatments.

An EMEM3 can contain (most do) a very crude freq generator. A true

function generator produces at least a few types of waveforms, and

has other functions often used by electronic technicians. Function

generators are mostly used for testing electronic devices.

For ease of use and for accuracy it is best to use a freq generator

designed for Rife use. A function generator can be used, and should

be programmable (much more expensive). Still not as good as a unit

designed for Rife.

The built-in freq generator in EMEM devices is extremely difficult

to use compared to a commercial unit, especially a programmable

one such as the F-150, ProGen, or Kinnaman (all these are designed

for Rife).
