Guest guest
I wonder if the reusable steel mesh coffee filter would work? I use a nylon nut milk bag but do have to wash it immediately after. elaine

A dish towel works too. I agree bags are hard to wash ... I have one mesh bag I use for making " juice " for kefir-beer, but it doesn't hang very long and it is a wider mesh. -- Heidi Jean

My Yogourmet can make a half gallon of yoghurt at a time. The Donvier strainer can only strain 3 cups at a time, but IMO the tradeoff is well worth it since the bag is such a pain in the neck. But a coffee filter can probably only hold half that, though I'm not sure, and it's not so easy to stick in the fridge. The Donvier is a fairly small box you just stick in the fridge while it's straining. I do wish the box were glass, though, instead of plastic. -

I don't put it in the fridge though. -- Heidi Jean
