Guest guest
Hi Vera, Sorry, I don't know for the use of KT in your case but have you milk kefir grains or a source to get some? You could use the whey of kefir. Groetjes, (in Belgium) 2006/10/23, vera_chiara : > Hi, > > I have a vaginal infection which could be thrush. Guest guest
Hi , Well, you were my source, but I really didn't like it and the friend I passed them on to had forgotten the kefir and couldn't get the grains out any more. anyway, it is not that I do not want to use the Molkosan, but if I don't have to buy it, it would be great (since I have no other use for it...) so that is why I'm asking... groetjes, Vera > > Hi Vera, > > Sorry, I don't know for the use of KT in your case but have you milk > kefir grains or a source to get some? Guest guest
Vera, definitely use KT, the more aged the better. Also, cut a good size chunk of SCOBY and insert. Good health. --V >Hi, > >I have a vaginal infection which could be thrush. Guest guest
Hi V, would you use more vinaigry KT? I have a starterspot, but somehow that feels like tooo much acid... Guest guest
>Hi V, > >would you use more vinaigry KT? I have a starterspot, but somehow >that feels like tooo much acid... > >Vera Yes, I would. If you want to kill off the candida, you might try douching (slowly and gently) with hydrogen peroxide (3% antiseptic solution), then with the vinegary KT. This protocol (using distilled vinegar) is being used to kill EVERYTHING in hospitals, it is completely nontoxic and is also recommended for raw veggies and as a washing protocol for fruits and veggies. After gently douching, then apply the SCOBY and some acidophilus powder or yogurt if you have it (a capsule of acidophilus powder does nicely). YOu don't want to repeatedly do that protocol, but it does kill molds, yeasts, bacteria, etc. The SCOBY/acidophilus creates a nurturing environment bringing back the probiotics, and the yeasts in the SCOBY are believed to displace candida yeasts. If you don't want to experiment with this, just do the essential oil/KT combination. But, if the alternative is apple cider vinegar, then the vinegary KT is no more acidic than that. You want an acidic environment. If the hydrogen peroxide and acidic-KT feel too intense, you can dilute with a little water. But you don't want the any undigested sugars from young KT in there. I have not done the hydrogen peroxide/KT-vinegar protocol for candida, but I plan to if I have another imbalance of candida. I have done KT-vinegar (slightly diluted) and then the SCOBY/acidophilus for imbalances. I just think adding the hydrogen peroxide as a separate step (don't mix them together) would give faster relief. Ah-- I found a link from a midwife about using hydrogen peroxide for vaginal candida. http://www.gentlebirth.org/archives/vagInfections.html Hope this helps. (I'm excited to find this.) If you scroll down the page you'll see the info under " Vaginal Wash " and then further down is more info on candidiasis. If people are interested in the hydrogen peroxide/distilled vinegar protocol, here is a link: http://www.sciencenews.org/pages/sn_arch/9_28_96/food.htm (the original development of the protocol in 1996). Must use distilled vinegar for guaranteed results (because KT vinegar is not reliably acidic for this purpose). --V ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Guest guest
Diluted apple cider vinegar is wonderful as a cleaner for yeast infections and other feminine nastiness. Just do not douche with it. It is rather cheap in the grocery store. If you have any bottled vinegar left over and don't know what to do with it ~ use it as a rinse for your hair. It takes away any product that doesn't wash out. Guest guest
Dear and all, Thank you. I don't even have a yeast infection and I am so glad for the information you provided. It helps me see why I reach for hydrogen peroxide as a gargle when I get a sore throat, with no instruction ever to do so. Now I follow it up with kt so I have it covered. The information you provide helps in many applications and how inexpensive and easy to obtain can you get. I have increased my water intake as you recommended and have not had a headache since. I thank you for that also. Anyway, I learn something everytime I stop in to read and I am glad for this list and the wonderful people who post here. 3jsmom31
