Guest guest
Hi Group - I have been seeing this patient for the last three years. She is a 28 yo female who initially presented with chronic bloating and depression/anxiety. We did a lot of work with digestion, including: Intestinal Repair Complex HCl capsules Probiotics BTG's Castor Oil Packs Dry skin brushing Magnelevures Anti-inflammatory diet and various UNDAs throughout the years Her overall digestive functions improved greatly throughout this time She came off of OBC's and experienced facial acne This took about four months to resolve itself with a combination of all of the above and continuing drainage The depression and anxiety seemed to have a pattern of waxing and waning, multiple and worsening food senstivities, and amenorrhea X 6 mos. We finally ordered a GI Health Panel: She tested positive for +4 Candida + Ameba histolytica +H pylori +Klebsiella and other bacterial overgrowth elevated lysozyme - + colonic inflammation slight small intestine irritation with borderline elevated alpha-anti-chymotrypsin +gliadin antibody So we are now comprehensively treating all of this and I began her on this protocol about two months ago HCl capsules before every meal UNDA 3,17,39 x 3 mos Gemmo Juglans Pearl capsules (chinese medicine) for Parasites (Thunder/Lightning) Pyloricin The symptom that is most troublesome is a chronically swollen throat that exacerbates her anxiety. On examination she has 1. cobblestoned mucosal edema of back wall of throat 2. redness of mucosa of back part of voicebox suggesting post nasal drip and/or some reflux. I have had her try an herbal throat spray, slippery elm powder, etc. To no avail. Her submandibular lymph nodes are all swollen, she has had some benefit, though not lasting from lymphatic massage. She is also getting steams once a week. My question: Is there something I am missing here? Other therapies I should be initiating? The swelling creates some difficulty swallowing, and given her sensitivity to foods, she is scared that this is symptomatic of an allergic response to something she is eating. Her diet is incredibly clean. Thanks in advance for any insight you can give - I am open to all suggestions.
