Guest guest
A little while back you suggested that in order to get natural calcium, we might try pickeling lime,,,, IS that the only natural calcium for our bones, or teeth or osteo, on the market or is this because it is cheaper? Just inquiring minds that want to know. I take os-cal with vit D and I thought that was THE best calcium product for bones? Any info will be appreciated............ Till you get raw milk again, I would recommend that you pick up some calcium hydroxide(pickling lime), and have each family member take 1/8th tsp. dissolved in a glass of water a day. It is only a couple dollars a pound, and a very digestible source of calcium. http://shop.store.yahoo.com/mrswages/mrswagpiclim.html Blessings, -AngelKirkland Washington
Guest guest
The best store kind to buy is anything that is made from calcium citrate, most of the others are not easily absorbed by the body. I recommended the calcium hydroxide because it is very highly absorbable and cheap. If you do take it, make sure you dissolve 1/8 tsp. in a 8 oz. glass of water, no less. It has to have a lot of water to dissolve properly. Most of the supplements like OS-CAL made by the big pharmaceutical companies are not made with sources the body can digest well. It is best not to get any supplements from grocery stores and such, but from actual health food markets that cater to better quality brands. The really savvy people I know of who really research their supplements use these products... I don't know anything about these products because I don't take any supplements, but you could google them... One drawback might be cost, because I think these elite calcium supplements are very expensive... Possibly a " get what you pay for " situation... Much easier to just get nutrients from food... Guest guest
"You are only what you are able to assimilate and utilize......." The real point of the Pickling Lime is that it does inside the body exactly what it does when you add it to clay soil.... You suddenly get bioactive minerals doing their job once again. By taking Lime, or the homeopathic cellsalt, Calc. Flour., you convert the Calcium you already have more efficiently, and are better able to extract it from foods in the correct forms. You can take a "calcium supplement" even of the highest quality, but that does not mean your body is turning it into anything useful, and thus the wise prescription for Lime, particularly if you tend to make stones. --Terry Re: calcium and dairy @@@ ann:> A little while back you suggested that in order to get natural calcium, we> might try pickeling lime,,,, IS that the only natural calcium for our> bones, or teeth or osteo, on the market or is this because it is cheaper? > Just inquiring minds that want to know.
