Check the grocery for the canned bing cherries. Just make sure they don't

have too much added sugar. Also, elevating the foot will help.

If he really wants to go to school (and, from my experience, not many kids

do,) talk to your PCP about crutches or a cane or even a wheelchair (one of

those motorized ones would sure make him a hit with some of the kids.)

;-))

As long as he stays with the meds he should see imporvement within a few

days and things should be back to normal in a week to ten days.
