Guest guest
Okay folks, You all the the best group of informed people I know..... 1. I broke my second toe on Monday. The doc said to buddy tape it, elevate it, stay off it if possible, take Ibupropen if needed, ice if it helps, and call in a week or so if it doesn't feel better. I haven't been able to stay off it or elevate it much, but during the day it doesn't bother me much. It isn't swollen, just really ugly bruised. It gets sore, and sometimes I step onto it wrong, but nothing major. Night time is another enchilada. I have been waking up off and on all night with severe pain. It feels like it just got smashed. At first I thought that maybe I had thrashed my legs in my sleep and caused it. It seems to be getting progressive worse each night. Last night I woke up crying several times. At one point though, I was already awake when it started hurting so I KNOW I didn't do anything to it. Help! Anyone have some thoughts? I can call the doc next week, but I don't understand why this is only happening at night. Anyone???? 2. Tom's 40th birthday is this next weekend and we are having friends over(invited 2 dozen, expecting half that?). What the heck do you do at a guy's party??? He wants to have friends over, finger food, enjoyable evening sort of thing... so how do I make sure people aren't standing around bored? He doesn't want a loud kind of party, we don't have the space or money for any formal entertainment. Again, help! I am clueless! Thanks, my think tank friends! in WA

Anyone???? Toe: well, I broke a toe at a water park years ago - it took a LONG time to heal but I don't remember the pain being any greater at night than the day - hmmm.... hope it feels better soon. ... so how do I make sure people aren't standing around bored? He doesn't > want a loud kind of party, > entertainment. Again, help! I am clueless! Party: GAMES! Especially guys against gals! Always fun! ALso fun for a 40th b-day party is a " come as you were " party - dress like you did in high school - hey isn't that how the kids are dressing now? LOL! If he liked music from the late 70's and early 80's, some Time Life CD's offer good selections - may be available at the Library. The Murder Mystery parties that were popular 15 years ago need to be revived - they were FUN! Might even try an online search and see what comes up. Have fun! We always find that friends like our corny ideas. If the hosts are being corny than everyone can relax as no one has to be cool if we are corny. Just our method. hugs, cindy lee > > >
