Vicki,

Be happy that you are where the doc wants you. So what would you do at

8 lbs if that doesn't get you to a 10? Go 8 more lbs? What if your body build

won't be healthy at a 10? Don't be so focused on numbers and look at how you

feel and how far you have come. I have a friend who has lost 80 lbs on her

own. She is a size 12 and all I have heard for a solid year is... " I want to be

a size 10 " . She walks every day for 30 minutes and goes days without eating

and guess what? She is a size 12.....No longer a healthy looking size 12

either. She looks gaunt and hollow cheeked. The last 10 lbs she lost has really

made her look bad. I saw your pics and you look good. Listen to the Doc!

Good advice Mel!

I know the feeling of being too scrawny and thin! 136 and size 6/8

may sound wonderful to some people and may look wonderful on others

as well, but for me when I reached that point I didn't recognize

myself, and I didn't like the way I looked. Sure, it was fun for a

while to be that skinny, but after seeing pics and looking in the

mirror for a while, I realized I actually like myself better at 170

pounds and a size 14! I loved the softer, rounder face, cheeks, hips,

and butt! I have gained back just enough to be comfortable and happy

with how I look as well as keeping my BMI at normal limits. 10 pounds

CAN make a huge difference between gaunt and scrawny and round and

soft for some people, and I am one of them.

Vicki, you look beautiful! You look happy, healthy, and perfect! If

the doc thinks you are right where you should be, then you probably

are! You have done awesome, now enjoy it and maintain it!

HUGS!! (are you still coming to the meting with us in November?)
