Moderator's Note: ChronicpainOnelist does not usually deal with questions

and posts about " religious " issues, due to the wide diversity of Christian and

non-Christian faiths represented by our members. A special need arose over the

weekend that caused us to break temporarily with tradition. Had I to do it over,

I would have sent my post as a private message. Please accept my apologies if

you have been offended by this change in our usual routine. Also, please accept

my apologies if what I am going to say offends anyone else: I would ask that

each of us refrain from posting any further posts containing religious themes.

I will be glad to forward any private posts to me to anyone who would like to

recieve such posts from those on this list. We will not be adding an extra list

dealing with Christian or any other religion because there are an overwhelming

number of such lists already available, as you will see in the following post.

This is the last religious post that I will send through. I believe that Ken

and Darwent will agree completely with me.

I have found that people who have not struggled often don't

understand or comprehend what those of us who do struggle go through. I

would add to Ray's explanation, that as (faith believers) we do have (written

faith) to rely upon but we have also been given brains to think and figure

things out.

We can learn much about ourselves through (our faith community, as well as

counseling and support groups and communicating with people who have struggled

like we have. We do have to ask for discernment (within our faith tradition)

though. Often the easy way out is to isolate ourselves, but that is not really

(a faith) solution.
