Guest guest
Moria, You are correct, there is only one manufacturer of these affordable, portable mHBOT Chambers, but several distributors. But, there are 2 distributors that handle most of US business and then other distributors outside the US. The other large distributor of these same HBOT Chambers in Atlanta, GA called VitaO2 www.vitao2.com who sell the same chambers at the same price. They have the same prices and have demo units for sale also. In fact, I just called them and they have 8 demo units for sale at a sizable discount. They also have MDs, PhDs and HBOT experts who provide technical assistance to anyone seeking solutions in HBOT. They have service and technical support who can assist anyone with HBOT questions They also run a retail operation where you can get treated with these same mHBOT Chambers under a MD's supervision, it's called " The Hyperbaric Therapy Center " www.hypertc.com . They charge $60-75 per hour based on number purchased in a package. They do a very brisk business there. The Md is Dr Bergeron MD, who specializes in Cancer, chronic disease and conditions. He is one of the top MDs in US who specializes in Cancer Immunotherapy, Cancer Vaccine, ACAM, AAEM, Biological MD Network approach to chronic disease. People come to him from all over the world. He is noted recently for his work in getting patient into remission from Hepatitis, MS, Type II Diabetes, Lyme, Lupus, Parkinson's. But, is more known for his ongoing work in Cancer, ALS, Lyme, CFS, FMS, CP, Brain Injury, Near Drowning, Stroke, Alzheimer's, anti-aging. He stacks multiple non-evasive therapies to get " potentiated " responses. And he almost always stack mHBOT into his protocols. And he advocates mHBOT, sauna and other for use in patients homes. He looks at mHBOT as a primary or supportive therapy, depending on disease and therapy, recommends it widely. He claims he can get much faster results and keeps patients from crashing by stacking HBOT. And if patients place these in their own homes, they it more. I spoke with him a few weeks ago and he explained to me how several executives have come to him lately with MS, Parkinson's and Lyme. And that by getting these mHBOT units into the patients home, they will use it more. And they can move it from summer home to winter home. In other words, if you make it inexpensive, flexible, portable and easy to use.....patients will do the therapy. He advocates long treatment horizons, 3-24 months, then continued use in some maintenance mode. Anyway, hope this helps. GypsyRose > i hope this is not premature, but... > i have gotten interested in hyperbaric. they now have home " mild hyperbaric " > units being sold. the cheapest is around ten thousand. I have only found ONE type (with 3 sizes/models). As far as I've found, everyone is selling (reselling) the same thing. The best list price I've found for Solarus is through Dr. Donsbach ($9000). Oxyhealth (the exclusive distributor) has a list price of $9500, but SOMETIMES has demo units and the like that have the price lowered a bit. Talk to Tom Melone (and please tell him I sent you), if you are interested in this. www.oxyhealth.com > upon reflection, i believe i see a path to constructing one for one thousand > five hundred. > if i work out the kinks i will post my set-up here. > i figure i can get it done in about 40 hours of work from my current > understanding. > we'll see. Please (and I do mean PLEASE) go read the several threads on this topic on the list HBOTFORCP (also yahoogroups). I would suggest you read through all the messages for the last month or two (3 at most?) so you don't miss any of it. It was discussed more than once. Not all that many posts, but some good pointers regarding some of the safety issues involved. I learned a lot and found that I could apply the issues also to the commercial mild chambers. Some references to books on safety issues of HBOT construction, and of use of oxygen. I think at this point I would (personally, myself) go with the commenrical unit. In addition to safety considerations, I expect they can be resold (should one ever want to). Which makes the cost potentially somewhat less " extreme " . BTW, I am " testing out " (one session) a mild HBOT chamber this Friday...... [i know of someone who used HBOT for lyme. Write me privately if you want info.] best, Moria _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
