Mel, you need to build your glutes and the pain will be a distant

Just a few sessions and the pain was gone.

But marta, I think my glutes are around my knees! I can pull up on my butt

and it feels like the padding back there pulls into the right place. I mean

when you've lost so much weight, only so much can be exercised back into place.

Right? I mean like my arms, all the exercising in the world wasn't going to

lift the overhang...LOL. It might help a little but sometimes you need a litle

extra help!

Mel

BTW...what do you think about the ab lounger? I'm asking Santa for one for

Christmas...LOL.

Do you guys think lifting the hiney would put the padding back

where it

Mel...

Surgery could possibly help by removing the excess skin that keeps

sliding around on your tush. But if you don't build your butt

muscles nothing will help. I can be surprising how little exercise

it actually takes to notice an improvement in the pain.

*** Mel, your muscles are still where they are supposed to be, it

is just the subcutaneous tissues and skin that is loose. You are

right, it won't shrink back with exercise, only with time and to a

limited extent. Trust me on this. I swear, I had butt pain for

years and finally figured it out by remembering an ortho surgery:

The surgeon was doing an AKA (above the knee amputation) and I

remembered that he left big ropes of muscle to pad the end of the

bone. That made me realize that years of obesity and not taking

stairs, etc, had atrophied my gluteal muscles. What I was feeling

was angina of the ass, lol, and seriously, only a single few seconds

of exercise helped immediately. I also do kicks in the pool, with

my legs straight. Another thing would be to lie on your belly and

lift your feet with legs extended straight, you can feel the glutes

contract. Taking a high step like the diving board, is a good one

and something most people can do at home. Just be careful not to

wreck your knees.

> BTW...what do you think about the ab lounger?

*** I have not done a single sit-up since my TT. Too scared to get

yet another hernia.

I'm new but have to tell you - you guys are hysterical! Angina of the BUTT!

That made my morning! I am sure I have that as well. I hope I have your great

senses of humor over some of the " trials " after my surgery with Dr. K. Thanks

so much!
