Did you ever change your mind on what an appropriate goal weight > would be when you got close to that weight? > : C Great question . Dr. K asked me this question during the consultation. My answer was " Since I don't know what I will look like or feel like at any particular weight...I'll let you know when I get there " He seemed to like that answer and we never discussed any goal weight for me. I truly didn't have a goal weight. What I did have was a hopeful cloths size. I thought If I could just end up in a size 14 it would be a dream come true. And a secret desire to end up in a size 12, which is what I was in High school. Much to my surprise I sailed right past those sizes into a size 10...then the tummy tuck took me to a small size 6 (some 4's). A bit of weight regain and I have settled into 8's or 6's. Now here's where coming up with a NUMBER on the scales is hard. Although my secret desire was a size 12 which I wore in High school...and I am currently in 6's and 8's....I weigh almost 20 pounds more than I did in high school. I went past my dream goal....others don't quite make it there.....But the most important thing to keep in mind through the whole process.....IMPROVED HEALTH is the ULTIMATE goal. Guest guest
Dear , I was absolutely elated when I hit 199. Just being below 200 was grand. We actually went out to celebrate and called it my " 199 party " . From there I didn't know what to expect. I had weighed about 150 in junior high -thought that might be nice. I now weigh 141 and wear size 4 and 6. It is just my personal opinion, but I think the surgery takes you where you're gonna go and there isn't much you can do about it. It is the ride of a lifetime - hang on tight and have a blast! hugs, cindy lee > > When you were pre-op, what did you want your ultimate goal weight to > be? Guest guest
All I ever wanted was to be able to breathe again, move again, and feel good again! If all I ever reached was a size 14/16 and 170 or so pounds I would have been in heaven, but when I begged Dr Z at that weight and size to " make it stop " he said to give it six more months and see how I felt then. In six more months and after my tummy tuck I had reached 136 pounds and a size 6 and I honestly hated the skinny scrawny way I looked and felt! I WANTED a softer figure, I wanted a little roundness and fullness in my face and cheeks, so I ate lots of fruit and managed to gain back 10-12 pounds and I now stay around 148 pounds (depending on time of month and water retention that can go up as much as 5 pounds!) and a size 8-10 and I am thrilled right here! My goal was just to be healthy and in my mind that would have been accomplished at 170 pounds and a size 14/16, but I had to revise that goal because the ds works a lot better than I ever expected it to and I lost a lot more than I ever planned! I am almost 2 years out, (Friday will be 2 years for me!) and I still have to eat to maintain the weight I am happy at, if I stop I start losing again! The ds works and so far for me it has kept on working! Cindee > > When you were pre-op, what did you want your ultimate goal weight to > be?
