Guest guest
Caroline, The first years I had Reynaud's my hands and feet would turn the blue and white colors. It was really bad until 1999 when I had my year long remission. After that the cold would make my hands and feet numb but not turn colors. For the last couple of years I've had a constant burning sensation on the bottoms of my feet and tips of my fingers. It's bad enough that I can't sleep at night a lot, have to take pain medications to stop the burning. The doctors now say it's peripheral neuropathy or nerve damage. I don't know if it was caused from the Stills, the Reynauds or both. I have to be careful with my feet, I can step on something and not feel it. My sister has the same thing but she's diabetic and I'm not. Sometimes I feel like my whole body is turning against me. Aleeta Reynauds question Reynauds... I know sort of what it is. You hands turn color when they get cold. Mine don't really turn white or blue or pinker like some do. BUT... when they get cold... they ache really badly, and then the finger tips ache for days after they are warm again. Could this be Reynauds? I saw all of my doctors last week and didn't even think of this till now. My hands got really cold last weekend. Amazing thing is that I could feel that they were cold through the numbness. Now the fingertips just ache and ache ever since. I am also getting a lot of burning pain all over my body the past couple of days, so much so I am having "pain" night mares. I think this could be neurological. Kineret aggravates my neural issues but the doctors think the benefits outweigh the hazzards. Me too, I think.
