Guest guest
Yes , I want to personally thank you for posting Judith Newman's piece from READER'S DIGEST, " When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Crack Wise " , concerning her Aspie son Gus's ability to help her to hone her skills at seeing the humor in things, dark humor, yes, but humor nonetheless. My brother, Rob, the drummer for the rock group Satyr & the Surf Gods and a brilliant sometimes studio session percussionist besides, has certainly had an interesting life, interesting as in the Chinese curse, " May you live in interesting times! " Still, what with his highly focused often obsessive interest in pop music, it has landed him with the gig he now has. Also, he has a pronounced affinity for entymology, his intrigue with our diminutive neighbor, the honey bee, having earned him the notoriety as the neighborhood apiarist, fascinating our childhood peers with the ability to command hundreds of bees under his charge to lap up honey from his hands without any stings whatsoever. So, be ye apprised, Kim, not only when the tough gets going do the tough crack wise, their Aspergian siblings also can become highly proficient in certain specialized fields of endeavor. Thanks for brightening my day again, Kim. Your posting came at just the right time. A proud FAM member, Anadæ
